Have a question about the South Bristol Arts Trail?

Take a read below to see if we’ve answered it. If not, please do get in touch.

I would like to take part in the South Bristol Arts Trail. What do I need to do?

Head to the Apply page where you will find information about the application process. It’s essential that you have a venue confirmed before you apply. Fill out the application form. Within 5 working days you’ll then be emailed payment details in order to complete your application. Each participating artist must apply, no matter how many people you are exhibiting alongside.

What does my Application Fee include?
Your application fee covers the cost of the brochure design and print. You’ll be able to have an image of your work with a short accompanying text in the brochure and on the website. Your fee also goes towards the organisation and promotion of the South Bristol Arts Trail. The Trail is advertised in local printed publications, online event listings and across social media platforms.

I’d like to be part of the South Bristol Arts Trail, but don’t have a venue to exhibit in, what should I do?

Head to the Community Venues page where you will see a list of Venues who are happy to host artists. These range from churches to cafes and community centres. Get in touch with them to see if they still have artists spaces available. Once they confirm they are happy to host you, you can then apply to the Arts Trail.

I’d like to offer my home/workplace as a venue to other artists but don’t want to exhibit myself. How can I help?

Thank you for offering up space for some of our artists! Please get in touch contactus@southbristolarts.co.uk – let us know how much space you have available and we’ll advertise it on our list of available Community Venues. Any interested artists can then get in touch with you directly. Once they confirm they are happy to host you, you can then apply to the Arts Trail.

How can I attract more visitors to my venue?

Ensure your venue is clearly visible – hang bunting or flags outside your house or venue, make a sign and leave your front door open. Tell everyone! Your friends, family, neighbours, work colleagues even the postman. As a community of artists, we all benefit from every individual doing what they can to publicise the event, so please shout far and wide, in person and online using social media.
